WASHINGTON, DC – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the ramp to northbound DC 295 from Pennsylvania Avenue SE and detour traffic between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 20 for paving work.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured from Pennsylvania Avenue, north onto Minnesota Avenue SE to Nannie Helen Burroughs where they will make a left and a right onto northbound DC 295 (Kenilworth Ave).
Variable message boards will be in place to provide motorists with advance warning about the closure of the ramp.
This work is being scheduled to take advantage of temperatures warm enough to allow paving and achieve substantial completion of the larger DC 295 and Pennsylvania Avenue Interchange Improvement Project prior to the onset of colder winter temperatures.
For more information about this project please contact Project Manager Joe Dorsey at (202) 210-4542 or joseph.dorsey@dc.gov.
