Non-Peak Lane Closures on North Capitol Street

DDOT is constructing a new safety barrier.

Media Contacts

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be restricting travel lanes on North Capitol Street from Seaton Place to Randolph Place, and from P Street to Hanover Place, to accommodate construction activities for a new safety barrier in this corridor.

During non-peak hours the northbound and southbound sides of North Capitol Street may be reduced to a single lane in each direction. The work zones will be lifted during rush hours.

The construction and lane restrictions started this week and are scheduled to continue through May 2011.

Temporary signs will be in place to alert the traveling public in this area.
