Nighttime Temporary Lane Closures Planned for Eastbound SW Freeway (I-395) from June 6-11, 2013
Road Work Will Not Block Access to 3rd Street Tunnel
During the ramp closure, signed detours will be posted.
WASHINGTON, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing nighttime temporary lane closures on the eastbound Southwest Freeway (I-395) over 4th Street SW from Thursday, June 6 to Tuesday, June 11, 2013.
These closures are necessary to make repairs to the roadway and will occur daily between 8 pm and 5 am the following day.
There will be one lane open at all times on the eastbound Southwest Freeway (I-395) during this project.
The work area is located just before the exit ramp from the eastbound Southwest Freeway (I-395) to the 3rd Street Tunnel. The entrance to 3rd Street Tunnel will not be affected during this project.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through the work zone. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel in this corridor.
