Temporary emergency lane closures on Canal Road will be performed this morning to allow for the inspection of the railroad bridge over Canal Road at Arizona Avenue.
(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be assisting the National Park Service and the Federal Highway Administration to perform temporary emergency lane closures on Canal Road this morning. The closures are scheduled to begin at 10 am to allow for the inspection of the railroad bridge over Canal Road at Arizona Avenue. The bride was damaged in a recent crash involving a truck.
Canal Road will be narrowed to one lane and flaggers will be onsite to guide two-way traffic through the work zone. The inspection work is expected to last until approximately 2 pm today. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes including MacArthur Boulevard.
