WASHINGTON, DC — Starting on or about Monday, January 7, 2013, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin making infrastructure improvements and repairs in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the 800 block of Bladensburg Road and Morse Street, NE. These repairs and improvements should be completed within approximately two weeks from the start date, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Construction hours in the area will be from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Any work performed in the roadway will not begin prior to 9:30 am. During this time, expect temporary lane closures as well as sidewalks and crosswalk closures. Traffic control signs will be in place to guide travelers in the corridor around the new traffic pattern and pedestrians will be rerouted. Motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.
