The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advising motorists that emergency repairs will necessitate closing a section of Military Road during tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advising motorists that emergency repairs will necessitate closing a section of Military Road during tomorrow morning’s rush hour.
Military Road will be closed in both directions at 42nd Street, NW starting at approximately 6:15 am and is expected to reopen at approximately 7:15 am.
DDOT Street and Bridge Maintenance crews will be pouring concrete to repair a section of the roadway that collapsed, and then covering the area with plates to allow the concrete to dry. Asphalt will be added later to complete the repairs.
DDOT apologizes for the inconvenience. Drivers and cyclists should use alternate routes.
