(Washington, DC) Due to a water main break that occurred earlier today both 22nd Street and 23rd Street are currently closed between H Street and I Street in northwest Washington.

The street closures at 22nd Street and 23rd Street are anticipated to remain in place past this evening’s rush hour period while DC Water crews repair the broken main.

Commuters are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid traffic delays and backups.
