(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advising travelers that PEPCO is scheduled to conduct electrical work tonight that could cut power to the streetlights, sign lights and/or traffic signals on or near the 14th Street Bridges. The work will be conducted between 10 pm on November 9 and 6 am on November 10.
During the outage, visibility on the road and of all overhead signage will remain sufficient enough not to warrant the use of back-up generators or portable lighting. However, all drivers should still use extra caution and stay alert during this time. If you approach an intersection without power, treat it as a 4-way stop.
