(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will institute alternating single lane closures on eastbound Maine Avenue and a 30-minute traffic stoppage on the ramp from the Inbound 14th Street Bridge to conduct emergency road repairs from 7 am to 1 pm on Saturday, January 28.
Variable message signs will be placed to provide motorists with advance warning about the lane closure and traffic stoppage. Motorists are urged to choose alternate routes to avoid potential delays.
This repair to existing pavement is necessary as DDOT works to complete installation of new lighting followed by milling and pavement resurfacing in this area as part of the final phases of work for the Maine Avenue Trail Widening and Eastbound Roadway Resurfacing Project.
