DDOT Issues Lane Closure Moratorium for Labor Day Weekend
The moratorium will ensure maximum safety for holiday travelers
(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced a lane closure moratorium will remain in place over the Labor Day weekend. The moratorium will apply to all active roadway construction projects, and will be in effect from 12 pm on Friday, August 30 to 12 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. During this time all construction related activities will take place behind barricades and in locations that have no impact on traffic. Also, all non-emergency work in Public Space is suspended on Monday, September 2.
Parking regulations—including expired meters and residential parking—will be suspended in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 2 and will resume on Tuesday, September 3.
