DDOT Conducting Routine Safety Inspections on Major Bridges and Tunnels
Inspections Scheduled During Off-peak Hours; Single or Rotating Lane Closures Required

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is conducting routine safety inspections on major bridges and tunnels throughout its highway network. The inspections will take place during off-peak hours between 10 am and 3 pm.
Each inspection area will require a single lane closure or rotating lane closures (from left to right lanes) for the safety of workers and motorists.

Right shoulder closure of the exit ramp from northbound South Capitol Street to westbound Southwest Freeway followed by a left shoulder closure of the same ramp.

Monday, February 7
Right lane closure of eastbound Southeast/Southwest Freeway over 8th Streets, SE.
Southeast Freeway over 8th Street, SE
Tuesday, February 8
Right lane closure for westbound Southeast/Southwest Freeway over 8th Streets, SE.
Rhode Island Avenue and T Street over North Capitol Street
Thursday, February 10
Right lane closures for North Capitol Street in the southbound direction under Rhode Island Avenue and T Street bridges.
