Closures of Inbound 11th Street Bridge Ramps

- DDOT will be closing the inbound ramps to the 11th Street Bridge from northbound I-295 and 13th Street, SE between 12 am and 5 am on both Friday, January 7 and Monday, January 10.

(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be closing the inbound ramps to the 11th Street Bridge from northbound I-295 and 13th Street, SE between 12 am and 5 am on both Friday, January 7 and Monday, January 10 to accommodate overhead steel girder related work on the 11th Street Bridge Project.
Detours
During the closures, motorists wanting to access the Southeast-Southwest Freeway or other points northwest of the Anacostia River will be detoured as follows:
- From northbound I-295, motorists will be directed to South Capitol Street, west across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and onto ramps to the SE-SW Freeway.
- From 13th Street, motorists will be directed south on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, west on Howard Road and across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge to South Capitol Street.
These closures are in addition to previously publicized off-peak closures of the 11th Street bridges, related ramps, portions of the Southeast-Southwest Freeway, Interstate 295/DC 295 and local streets through Friday, January 28, 2011 for bridge project construction.
