(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the 35th Street, SE bridge that is located over East Capitol Street, SE July 16, 2012 through October 30, 2012. This bridge closure will allow the crews to perform the necessary repair activities.

While the bridge is closed traffic will be re-directed as follows:

Motorists approaching the 35th Street, SE bridge from the north;

• North on 35th Street
• East on Ames Street
• South on Minnesota Avenue
• West on A Street to 35th Street

Motorists approaching the 35th Street, SE bridge from the south;

• South on 35th Street
• East on A Street
• North on Minnesota Avenue
• West on Ames Street to 35th Street

Detour signs will be in place to provide motorists advanced notice of the scheduled detour.
