(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced it will be conducting 20-minute traffic stoppages on northbound DC 295 between Howard Road and Pennsylvania Avenue in southeast Washington on or about September 28 and October 5 between 12 am and 5 am. The 20-minute traffic stoppages are required to relocate a crane across the northbound side of DC 295.

Variable message signs and temporary traffic control signage will be in place to alert motorists about the traffic stoppages. To avoid delays during the stoppages, motorists are urged to choose alternate routes.

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, the planned traffic stoppages will be rescheduled.

These closures are in addition to the previously publicized off-peak closures of the 11th Street bridges, related ramps, local streets, and Interstate 295/DC 295.
