(Washington, DC) In observance of the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, work in Public Space is suspended as of 12 noon on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 until midnight on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. The suspension of work details are as follows:
- All Non-Emergency Work in Wards 2 and 6
All non-emergency construction related commercial traffic, all work in the roadway, including manhole access, excavation and restoration are all suspended in Wards 2 and 6.
- City-Wide Suspension
All commercial deliveries and hauling to and from construction sites, delivery of concrete and concrete pouring, delivery of supplies, delivery and/or removal of debris containers (including roll off debris containers and trucks for hauling debris).
Onsite construction activities will be permitted during this suspension of work.
All work crews may resume permitted work in Public Space beginning Thursday, August 29, 2013, during permitted working hours. Please direct all inquiries regarding this notice to (202) 442-4670 and speak with the Customer Service Manager.
