The Government of the District of Columbia (District), Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), Infrastructure Project Management Administration (IPMA) is seeking a Contractor to rehabilitate alleys, city-wide at various locations within the District of Columbia. All work shall be performed within the existing right-of-way.
SCOPE
The Contractor shall perform the work of the restoration of the alleys in the District of Columbia, which include the rehabilitation of alleys at various locations.
The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the 2009 edition of the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highways and Structures and Standard Drawings.
Work under this contract consists of citywide rehabilitation of alleys at various locations in the District of Columbia. The contractor shall:
- Implement and maintain vehicular and pedestrian traffic safety plan throughout the contract.
- Implement and maintain sediment and erosion control measures for the contract
- Remove and dispose of the alley surface and base paving materials as required and/or directed by the Engineer, including alley entrances/driveways, curbs, gutter and drainage structures. Suitable paving materials (pavers) shall be salvaged by the Contractor and used for alley re-paving.
- Mobilize and demobilize work and storage areas
- The Contractor shall maintain all utility structures and service within the contract limits throughout the duration of the contract for all repairs made to the utilities.
