(Washington, DC) District Department of Transportation (DDOT) Interim Director Terry Bellamy will take questions about DDOT’s proposed budget during a live online chat at 12 pm on Monday, April 18, 2011. Residents and anyone else interested in transportation in the city are invited to join or follow the discussion on the web at ddot.dc.gov/chatlive.

Mayor Vincent C. Gray presented his FY2012 budget to the DC Council on April 1. It closes a $322 million budget gap through a combination of spending cuts and revenue increases, and each agency has been asked to identify cost savings to help balance the budget as required by law. The proposed budgets for DDOT and other District agencies are now posted online at budget.dc.gov.
