DDOT Director to Host Online Chat Friday

Friday, DDOT Director Terry Bellamy will host a live online chat to field and answer your questions related to two important areas that fall under the department’s purview: public space management and permitting, and the care of the District’s street trees.

(Washington, DC) Do you know what Public PARKing is? Can you actually park there? Do you know who is responsible for maintaining the trees in front of your home? Ever wonder how to request a new street tree on your block? Friday, DDOT Director Terry Bellamy will host a live online chat to field and answer your questions related to two important areas that fall under the department’s purview: public space management and permitting, and the care of the District’s street trees. Staff from the Public Space Branch, Permitting Center, and Urban Forestry Administration will be on hand to share their expertise and address any issues raised during the discussion. The Director will also outline organizational and technical changes that have improved DDOT’s permitting process.

The live chat will begin at 12 pm on Friday, January 27, 2012. You can join the discussion on the web at ddot.dc.gov/chatlive.

The Director will answer as many questions as possible for up to an hour.
