(Washington, DC) Parkmobile, the vendor that provides pay by phone parking service in the District of Columbia, has informed its customers that the transaction fee in DC will increase from $0.32 to $0.45 beginning on October 29. The higher transaction fee is due to increased processing costs borne by Parkmobile.
To help offset this increase Parkmobile has developed the Parkmobile Wallet which will give customers a more cost-effective option to pay for parking. Wallet transactions will carry a $.30 transaction fee, which is lower than the current fee charged in the District.
Current Customers can update their payment method to the Parkmobile Wallet via the Personal Pages at www.parkmobile.com
or from a mobile app (if using iPhone or Android).
