DDOT to Suspend All Non-emergency Roadway Work in Observance of the Christmas and New Year's Holidays
Parking Meters, Residential Parking and Rush Hour Lane Restrictions will not be Enforced Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1

In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is suspending all non-emergency street and sidewalk work within the District’s right-of-way.

WASHINGTON, DC – In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is suspending all non-emergency street and sidewalk work within the District’s right-of-way.
This work, including manhole access, will be suspended starting at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2012 through 12:00 am on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 and again starting at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 through 12:00 am on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. This work is being suspended pursuant to section 103.01 Article 17 item C of the District’s Manual for Standard Specifications for Highways and Structures.

Parking enforcement personnel will not enforce parking meters, residential parking and rush hour lane restrictions on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1. Normal enforcement will resume on Wednesday, December 26 and Wednesday, January 2. Motorists are reminded that parking regulations will be enforced on Monday, December 24 and December 31.
