(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) published two proposed rulemakings on Friday, March 11.

  1. One governs operations by intercity buses and is a revision of previously published rulemaking. This rulemaking would regulate the expanding use of curbside space and sidewalks in the District by intercity bus operators.
  2. The other is proposed rulemaking that covers use of the public right of way by commuter buses, sightseeing buses, and shuttle buses and amends existing regulations.

Persons interested in reading the proposed rulemakings can find them on the Office of the Secretary’s website: dcregs.org. DDOT has also made links available on its website: ddot.dc.gov.

Interested parties may submit comments to policy.ddot@dc.gov or in writing to Karina Ricks, Associate Director, Department of Transportation, 2000 14th St NW, 7th Floor, Washington, DC 20009.
