(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a second public meeting to further stakeholder participation in the continuing Southern Avenue Corridor (South Capitol Street, SE to 23rd Street, SE) and Winkle Doodle Branch Bridge Planning Study. The Winkle Doodle Branch Bridge is located near the intersection of Southern Avenue and South Capitol Street, SE. The bridge covers a channel and spans between southeast Washington and Prince George’s County.

Ward 8 residents and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend this meeting to.

  • Review issues identified at the June 6, 2012 public meeting,
  • See and discuss the concept solutions,
  • Learn about next steps for the planning study.
