(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting a construction kick-off meeting on Wednesday, March 9 for the O&P Streets Rehabilitation Project. At the meeting DDOT staff will provide details about the project schedule, maintenance of traffic plans and other related activities that will occur during construction.
Construction for this project is scheduled to start this month and take approximately 18 months to complete, weather permitting.
This project will:
- Provide smoother roads and sidewalks;
- Enable improvements to streetlights, water, gas, and stormwater lines by respective agencies; and
- Preserve the historical aspects of the neighborhood by repairing cobblestones and streetcars rails.
