(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will host a public meeting on Thursday, May 24 to update community members on the design of the new Parkside Pedestrian Bridge.

The bridge will provide direct, well-lit, disabilities-accessible pedestrian and bicycle travel above DC-295 and multiple railroad tracks to better connect the Mayfair neighborhood and proposed Parkside development on the west with the Minnesota Avenue Metro and Bus Transfer Stations, Downtown Ward 7 and the Deanwood Community on the east.

At the meeting, DDOT will present how the bridge, its access ramps and stairs will be aligned and look while also outlining the steps for completing the bridge’s design and construction.
