(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)—in cooperation with the National Park Service (NPS) and the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC)—have organized a public hearing related to an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the improvements to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Minnesota Avenue SE (Twining Square). The EA evaluates the proposed improvements to safety, mobility, and connectivity at the intersection for pedestrians and motorists in keeping with the District’s Great Streets Initiative. The EA also documents the alternatives considered, as well as their potential impacts, costs, and mitigations.
