WASHINGTON, DC — Please join representatives from the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) for a final update on the Anacostia Streetcar Extension Environmental Assessment (EA) and Section 106 Evaluation.
Over the past year DDOT has refined the alternatives under examination and conducted detailed technical studies on traffic impacts, conceptual alignments, noise and vibration effects, and cultural and historic resources. At this meeting the agency will share study findings and seek public feedback on the remaining alternatives.
The study team will also provide a final completion schedule. The schedule will include information on the how the public will be able to access the final report to provide written or verbal comments to the study team. The final recommended alternative will be announced later this year after all feedback from the public is received and the public review period has closed.
Your involvement and feedback is essential to helping DDOT and other partnering entities plan, build and operate the best streetcar system possible. We look forward to seeing you!
