(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the construction contractor for the 11th Street Bridge, Skanska/Facchina  Joint Venture, are hosting a business outreach and information session to discuss upcoming business contracting opportunities associated with the 11th Street Bridge Project. An overview and update on the 11th Street Bridge Project and information about how to do business with Skanska/Facchina will be provided as part of the session.

The session will be held from 9 am to 12 pm on Friday, September 30 at the Capitol Skyline Hotel located at 10 I Street, SW. The Capitol Skyline Hotel is located near the Waterfront and Navy Yard (ballpark exit) Metro stations on the Green Line. On-site parking at the hotel is $10. About the 11th Street Bridge Project

The 11th Street Bridge Project is the largest ever constructed by DDOT and is the first river bridge replacement in the District in more than 40 years. The project will replace the two existing bridges with three new bridges and improve the related interchanges. The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) began construction of 11th Street Bridge Project in December 2009. Phase one of construction is 70% complete and scheduled to be completed by spring 2013. Phase Two of construction is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2015.
