(Washington D.C.) - As part of the 11th Street Bridge Project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will implement periodic lane closures at various locations along northbound and southbound I-295 / DC 295 (Anacostia Freeway), between Suitland Parkway and Pennsylvania Avenue SE, beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. These closures will allow crews to install new overhead sign structures over the Anacostia Freeway.
Motorists are advised that the closures will be in place during the morning and evening rush hour periods, over the next eight weeks. Motorists may encounter additional delays and are urged to seek alternative routes.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed.
