Any person or group may submit a petition to the Construction Codes Coordinating Board (CCCB) to amend the DC Construction Codes (Title 12 of the DCMR).
The CCCB may refer a petition for review to one of the Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) for review and comment.
Procedure for submittal of proposed Construction Codes amendments:
- All proposed amendments shall be submitted in writing to the CCCB, on the form provided by the CCCB.
- The CCCB may refer a proposed amendment to a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for review and comment prior to CCCB action.
- The CCCB shall deal with all proposed amendments within the time frames required by bylaws and all other established deadlines.
