You need an entertain business license for any of the categories below.

Get an Athletic Exhibition License

This classification applies if you are an owner or manager of grounds used for athletic exhibitions (outdoor baseball, football, or soccer stadiums) to which an admission fee is charged directly or indirectly. For indoor exhibitions, see the fact sheet for Public Hall. This classification excludes amusement parks.

Get a Special Event License

Special Event is an activity, such as presidential inauguration, shows and exhibits of any kind, conventions, parades, circuses, sporting events, fairs, and carnivals, held for a limited period at a designated location.

Get a Skating Rink License

Establishments engaged in operating fitness and recreational sports facilities or entertainments of any description including theatrical or dramatic performances of any kind are conducted, for profit or gain where skates are used.

Get a Public Hall License

This classification applies if you operate any building where entertainment of any description or kind is conducted for profit, except for movie theaters. And the occupancy load is over 400 people.

Get a Moving Picture Theatre License

This classification applies if you operate a motion picture theatre or theatres.

Get a Mechanical Amusement Machine License

This classification applies if you provide any machine, device, or appliance (except music machines) for public use as a game, entertainment, or amusement, whether or not it registers a score or uses skill or luck.

Get a Live Theatre License

Theaters primarily engaged in producing musicals, operas, play, comedy, improvisational, mime, and puppet shows. Includes dinner theaters.

Get a Circus License

A public entertainment consisting typically of a variety of performances by acrobats, clowns, and trained animals, to which an admission is charged, directly or indirectly, other than those used for athletic exhibitions.

Get a Carnival or Street Festival License

A circus, rodeo, carnival, fair, performance, singing, playing of musical or other instruments, dancing or amusement of any kind, or preaching, exhorting, or lecturing may be conducted or operating in a tent or temporary structure of any kind, on vacant land, or in a yard or area appurtenant to any building.

Get a Bowling Alley License

Establishment where bowling alley (lanes), billiard or pool tables, or any table, alley or board upon which legitimate games are played.
