DCRA Extends Phone-based Scheduling System to include Certificate of Occupancy Inspections

The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system allows customers to schedule permit inspections, obtain inspection results within 48 hours of the inspection, and cancel inspections. The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) announces additional functionality to allow certificate of occupancy (CofO) inspection scheduling. Through the popular phone-based scheduling system contractors and property owners can schedule inspections 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – all just by dialing 202-442-9557 and utilizing the easy-to-use interface. The system went live Monday, June 14, 2010.
