ORDER HALTING CONSTRUCTION IN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
DURING PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION

Pursuant to Title 6 of the D.C. Official Code and Title 12A of the D.C. Municipal Regulations, the Chief Building Official Orders:

1. No construction activity is allowed anywhere in the District of Columbia on Sunday January 20, 2013 or Monday, January 21, 2013 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).  This restriction applies even if the D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs had previously issued an “After-Hours” permit for the project.

2. No tower cranes may be operated anywhere in the District of Columbia during the period from 7 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 until 7 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

All work may resume after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, during permitted hours.
