The proposed vending regulations (Title 24, Chapter 5 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations) seek to achieve the safe, efficient, and effective management of vending throughout the District of Columbia. The proposed regulations include provisions governing vending licensure, vendor operations, the designation of vending locations, roadway vending requirements, public markets, vending development zones, and street photography in the public space.

In order to allow for greater public transparency, the Department has posted below a document which shows all changes made between the June 25, 2010 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking published in the January 20, 2012 edition of the D.C. Register.

Any comments on the proposed vending regulations should be submitted in writing to Mr. Helder Gil, Legislative Affairs Specialist, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, 1100 Fourth Street, SW, Room 5164, Washington, D.C. 20024, or via e-mail at DCVendingRegs@dc.gov, no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012.
