DCRA Proposed New Business Entities Regulations 

Would Affect Corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, and Non-Profits

The proposed regulations govern the requirements for forming, maintaining, and operating foreign and domestic business organizations formed or regulated under Title 29 (Business Organizations) of the D.C. Official Code.

On February 8, 2013, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs published a proposed rulemaking to add a new Chapter 7 (Business Organizations) to Title 17 (Business, Occupations and Professions) of the D.C. Municipal Regulations.

The proposed regulations govern the requirements for forming, maintaining, and operating foreign and domestic business organizations formed or regulated under Title 29 (Business Organizations) of the D.C. Official Code.

The proposed rulemaking is open for 45 days of public comments. Comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013.
